During the summer holiday my family spent a week in Milan, Italy and we also visited the Lake Como. The place took my breath away. The Northern Italy lake town of Como is known for its picturesque views and calm energy. If you’re looking for a truly relaxing getaway and indulging on gelato and pizza, then this is the place where you need to be. It is so easy to get there once you are in Milan, with the newly opened Pedemontana highway you can bypass Milan traffic; from Malpensa (Milan’s international airport) you can get to Como in 30 minutes. The elegance of place is something to be admired, the landscape, first and foremost, but also the impressive Como Cathedral, churches, historical sites, parks with botanical wonders and not forgetting the magnificent villas. It is definitely a place I will go back to, next time maybe on a romantic getaway instead of a family affair!
